July the 4th is fast approaching, so you know what that means don't you?

Yes, it's party time!

I have recently added some special 4th July pages to my site. There are lots of ideas for planning, and ideas for all your July 4th party needs, including the must have Party Games.

So, if you're thinking of having a July 4th party here are some basic guidelines to get you started, and start you must, it's July next week!

Don't worry if you've left it a bit late, these ideas can be done really quickly and easily.

1. The Venue:

Decide where you're going to have your party. At home, (good for small numbers). The local park or beach, A friends house, (ask them first!).

You may still be able to hire a venue, such as a church hall, function center or restaurant.

Choose your venue to suit the number of guests.

2. The Invitations:

Get the invitations out as quickly as you can. Check out the online versions where you can print them off yourself. If you or the kids are creative, why not make your own?

If you're really pushed for time, email the invitation.

3. The Catering:

First, decide what type of food you want to serve. BBQ, Burgers, Hot Dogs, various finger food, salads?

Just cold food, or just hot food, or a bit of both?

Who will prepare it, you alone, or will you ask your friends and family to help out?

I like the idea of everyone bringing a plate of food, it makes light work of the catering, provides a good variety and gets everyone involved. Make a list of what food you want to serve, and ask everyone to choose from the list. A very Australian way of catering!

Of course, there are many cafes and local restaurants that will provide the catering for you, at a cost. Book now to avoid disappointment.

Catering staff can also be hired if your party is more formal, again book early to avoid disappointment.

4. Party Needs:

If you don't want to use your best china, then stock up with paper plates, cutlery, napkins and table cloths. There are great designs available to suit the 4th July theme.

Get all these party needs quickly and easily, including your decorations. Theme your July 4th party with balloons, streamers, bunting, and lots of flags, all available from Party Supplies at Low Prices

5. Party Costumes:

Having a costume party with the 4th July theme is a great way to get everyone involved.

Make sure that your guests have time to get their costumes. Check out these most popular costumes this year available at guaranteed low prices.

If you've left it a bit late, make it optional and then get some star spangled hats for all your guests, and hand them out on arrival along with a flag to wave. Available from Party Supplies at Low Prices

6. Party Games:

My web site has heaps of easy games to play for all ages.
