Engagement Party Games?
Find Out What The Best, Easiest Games Are And How To Run Them.
Engagement party games must be added if you want your party to be memorable. Keep reading to learn tips and advice on which games to run and how to run them.
First things first...
Unlike a
bridal shower,
where the focus is solely on the bride to be. The engagement party is for both the bride and groom to be, and so the engagement party games should be geared to both male and female guests.
Often the couple will organize the engagement party, however, if you are a friend or family member who is organizing the party, then consult with the happy couple first.
Discuss ideas on what they would like, and in particular, not like to have included. The number of guests and age range of the guest should also be known as part of the planning process.
The engagement party games should be tailored to suit the guests, no point running a fun marriage advice game if the guest are mostly single.
Keep the games tasteful, as you really don't want to offend anyone, it is an engagement party not a
bachelor party
after all.

The engagement party traditionally was a surprise party where the family would announce the engagement of the couple and celebrate the prospective union. Since it was a surprise, gift giving was not customary, however times have changed, and these days an engagement party tends to be announced in advance and gift expected. However the gifts would be less formal and less expensive than the gifts that would be provided for the actually wedding.
