If you include the most fun games into your party, then you will have a party that will be remembered for years.
You only need about 2-4 really good games, where everyone is included and active. Children and adults love playing games, so if you have enough people to make a couple of teams, then try out these most fun games at your next kids party.
A game that can be played outdoors in the garden, if it's big enough, the beach or the local park. I have fond memories playing this game with my sisters and street kids on summer days in England.
Object of the game: The team with the most runs in a set time wins.
Divide the children into two teams, A and B.
Team A hit the ball first.
Team B are the fielders hoping to catch the ball, and take it in turns to be the bowler.
First player of team A, holds the cricket bat in-front of their shins.
The first bowler of team B, throws the ball underarm towards the bat, aiming to hit the shins of the team A player.
If the ball hits the shins of team player A then they are instantly out.
If the team A player hits the ball, the fielders and the bowler of team B, must catch the ball, without it touching the floor. If they succeed then the batter from team A is out.
When the ball is hit, and the ball is not caught before hitting the ground, the batter from team A must pass the bat around their body to score a run.
The fielders must get the ball back to the bowler as quickly as possible so that they can re bowl, and hopefully hit the shins of the team A player.
At a set time, or if all the players are out, swap sides. Team A bowls and fields while team A take it in turns to bat.
Saucer Scramble Game
The aliens have landed. Get ready for out-of-this-world fun with this saucer-shaped unit. Saucer Scramble Game plays far out sounds and fires mini space ships into the air. The first player to catch 5 saucers wins.
Game play is for 1 to 4 players, so you will need to get more packets if you have more guests, they're cheap enough.
Balloons Between the Legs - Relay Race.
Another suggestion for great outdoor team birthday party games for children ages 6-8 years. You can have the most fun games with balloons.
You will need: Enough round balloons of the same size for all the children. (And some spare in-case they pop!)
Object of the game: First team to all get their balloons to the finish line.
Set up a start and finish line.
Line the children up in their teams, along the start line.
Give each child a blown up balloon, which they place between their legs.
When you shout GO, the child at the front of the line must run with the balloon between their legs, to the finish line.
If they drop the balloon they must go back to the start line and touch the next child on the shoulder, and the next child can have a go.
Once the child makes it past the finish line with their balloon still between their legs, they drop the balloon and run back to the start line and touch the next child in the line on the shoulder so that they can start to run with their balloon between their legs.
The first team to get all their balloons to the finish line is the winner.
Use The Balloons In Other Team Games:
Teams stand in a line one in front of the other. The front child can pass the balloon over their head to their team mate behind them, who then passes the balloon between their legs to the 3rd person, who then passes it over their head to the 4th person. And so on. Once the balloon gets to the last child in the line, they run to the front of the line and the passing begins again. Once everyone has had a turn being at the front of the line the game ends. First team to finish wins.
Use string to tie balloons to the childrens ankles. The children have to run around trying to burst each others balloon by stomping on it with their foot. The longer the string the harder it is, so adjust the length for younger children. A game of agility.
Fill the balloons with water and play a simple game of catch. Have plenty of balloons on hand and expect to get wet.
Don't Say It
Can you describe a balloon without saying "pop," "blow" or "float"? You'll need to be quick to avoid being buzzed out by the timer in this fun Don't Say It Game.
There are three levels of play (easy, medium and difficult) that make Don't Say It! the perfect game to play with different age groups. Includes 100 game cards, card holder, timer, score pad, pencil and rule sheet. Requires three "AAA" batteries, which are not included.

Do you need childrens games that can be played indoors, ideally include one like this. It's quieter, so it's good for calming things down before food is served or before they go home. Ideally a minimum number of 6 children is best.
