How To Find Everything You Need To Make Your Party Great

What party supplies do you need for your party?





First things first... Get a pen and paper and start planning!

Decide upon, and write down the answers to the following questions:

  • What is my party theme?

    When you're planning a party, the first thing you need to do is decide on a theme.

    The theme needs to be appropriate for the age and personality of your guests. (If you need some help with party theme ideas, why not take a look at some of these ideas for party themes).

  • What is the budget?


  • Who are the guests? age range and how many?


  • Will party costumes be required?

  • Who will be available to help me with the party and the party games?

    • Time to rally up your friend and find out who is available to help you, as they say, "Many hands make light work"

  • When, where, what time, how long....will the party be held?

    • Your choice of venue is important, check your budget and make sure it is suitable for the number of guests and the party games you want to have.

    Party invitations are a must, select an invitation that works in with the theme of your party.

  • Is the party location indoor or outdoor?

    • Consider the expected weather, what time of year is the party being held? If it typically rains at that time of year, then consider an indoor venue. There are lots of party suppliers who can provide all sorts of activities and games for outdoor entertainment.

  • What food will you be feasting on, and who will provide it?

    • Your chosen is venue is often able to provide catering, so discuss this with them. Know your budget, as they usually charge by cost per head. For a more casual affair, you may decide to call on friends to help out with the catering. Doing your own catering will depend on your venue, do they allow it?. Consider the number of guests as well as how much time you have available.

    Just a quick note to let you know that I followed your instructions for running party games at my sons birthday party and it went really well. I did 3 games and the most popular was the obstacle course. I had 10 boys ages 6-10 and once they had played with the course I had set out they then started to create their own ideas for obstacles and rearranged the course making it harder and harder.
